Desmond Daniel Amofah aka Etika - My Favourite Person
Desmond Daniel Amofah, aka, Etika. He was a Youtuber who was famous for his highly energetic reactions to Super Smash Bros. character reveals and Nintendo Direct presentations, and for playing and reacting to various games.
I first discovered him from his reaction to Mewtwo's reveal in a Nintendo Direct Livestream. He screamed from the top of his lungs, flailing his arms while jumping on his chair, all excited. The best part is how terrible his mic quality is for the stream. No amount of words can describe how much I love this clip of him.

Another reason why I think he's great was how entertaining his streams are. I used to watch VODs of his streams after school during high school. If you didn't know, VOD stands for Video on Demand, which is an archive of content previously streamed live. He started streaming in 2012, so there are still plenty of his VODs that I have not seen.
Not only that, but Etika was also a very genuine streamer. He was not perfect and he was not trying to be. When he is having fun, you can tell by how excited he is. When he is angry, you understand why he is so. He somehow manages to convey this in every stream.
Unfortunately, Etika passed away on June 19, 2019. He committed suicide. For years he was fighting his mental illness that nobody knew about. There were signs of his mental illness, people thought it was just Etika being Etika. He was just trying to be funny.
Desmon Amofah may appear happy and successful on the outside but may be struggling on the inside. Living in silent torture can drive anyone to suicide. I'm sad that he is gone, but I appreciate everything he has done.
